FootballX RTP and fairness
FootballX is SmartSoft Gaming's football juggling game: a player keeps the ball in the air, the multiplier rises while it stays up, and the round ends when it drops. Unlike most crash games it stops at 100x. This page lists the sourced facts on its RTP, its cap and its fairness, and is open about where reviews contradict each other.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Published RTP | 96% |
| House edge | 4% |
| Average return per 100 units staked | 96.00 |

In one round
A footballer keeps a ball in the air and the multiplier rises from 1.00x for as long as it stays up. When the ball drops, the round ends and every open bet is lost. On most versions you hold the play button and release it to cash out, or set an auto cash-out in advance. There is one stake per round, and the five selectable players are cosmetic: all of them run at the same RTP.
Checked figures
| Fact | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Provider | SmartSoft Gaming | crashgames.guide, iGaming Future |
| Release | 1 February 2023 in most sources; one demo listing gives 3 November 2022 | crashgames.guide, crashgambling.guru, Respinix |
| RTP | 96%; some reviews give a range of 95.2% to 97% | SlotCatalog, crashgames.guide, crashgambling.guru, VegasAces |
| Maximum multiplier | 100x, a hard cap | SlotCatalog, crashgames.guide, crashgambling.guru, VegasAces |
| Auto cash-out | From 1.01x or 1.10x (sources differ) up to 100x | crashgames.guide, crashgambling.guru |
| Bets per round | One | crashgames.guide |
| Volatility | Low | crashgames.guide |
96% or 97%?
The 96% figure is the baseline that SlotCatalog and crashgames.guide list. Other reviews quote a range from 95.2% to 97% and say the return depends on where you cash out, which would put 97% at the top of the range rather than at its centre. This site uses 96%, a 4% house edge, which is higher than many crash games.
Is FootballX provably fair? The sources disagree
- crashgambling.guru states the game is not built on a provably fair system and that its RNG is tested by iTech Labs and Gaming Associates Europe.
- crashgames.guide claims a two-seed SHA-256 provably fair model.
We could not find a SmartSoft document or a lab certificate that settles the question. Until one is published, treat FootballX as an RNG game: you cannot assume a seed checker exists, and if your casino's version shows one, use it. Either way, the licence of the casino you play at remains the safeguard you can actually look up.
What the 100x cap changes
Most crash games leave room for rare enormous rounds. FootballX does not: every round that would have gone past 100x pays exactly 100x. At 96% the chance of getting there is about 0.96%, roughly 1 round in 104. A 2x target lands in about 48% of rounds and a 10x target in about 9.6%. Because the ceiling is so low, a target of 100x is the most you can ever aim for, and there is no long tail to make up for the 4% edge. The FootballX RTP article walks through these figures.
Similar names to watch for
- JJ BallX is a version of this game made with BetKing and released under a different name (iGaming Future).
- World Champion X is a separate SmartSoft football crash game released in June 2026 (reported by Yogonet). It is not FootballX, and nothing on this page describes it.
About the figures on this site
This site's results, records and dataset are produced by a model of the published 96% RTP with the 100x cap, not recorded from real casino rounds. The methodology page explains how, and the calculators apply the same numbers to your stake.
